Start Racing with your club for your club! The Scottish Club trophy is a great event for sailors who have either just started sailing and would like to get more into racing or for sailors who have been enjoying it for a couple of years. The event is a two day training and racing event aimed at giving novice and intermediate sailors a chance to test the skills they have learnt over the summer against other sailors from around Scotland in a fun and friendly environment. Sailors will get the opportunity to train with some of Scotland’s top coaches in the morning before coming ashore for lunch and then enjoying fun racing in the afternoon. Competitors are invited to compete in the Optimist, Topper, Feva, Tera and Hansa 303 if they are under 16 as of 31st December 2017. Entry is only open to non Development Team sailors.
The event format will be a morning of race training by RYA Scotland Coaches followed by a three race series in the afternoon. Prizes will be awarded to the first three boats in each class; the first three boats in each class who are attending their first ever sailing event and the top performing club. We will also have a series of special prizes. We look forward to seeing you at the event.
