WIN FOR RUBY IN THE SHORT HANDED SERIES

Saturday's race was the first of 4 for short handed crews - this saw 9 yachts on the start line with some new faces. A brilliantly sunny day attracted a sea breeze south easterly straignt off the north sea so fairly chilly especially to windward. A two and half hour race saw Julian Lord's "Scallywag" take line honours but on handicap finishing in second place. Second to finish was Jon French in "Waterlily"  and third Angela Payne's "Prevalence".
