Sailing Chandlery

Born out of frustration of our sailing parts not arriving on time for the weekend Andrew Dowley founded the business in 2012 as Dinghy Rope (now Sailing Chandlery). The company started by providing rope from Marlow and Kingfisher as an online service.

 In early 2022 when searching for a carbon fibre tiller extension and spinnakers poles, all we could find was black. As a result, as we’ve been sailing since the 1970s and around retail for over 30 years, we started CF by L and L.

We produce very lightweight, incredibly strong carbon fibre tillers, tiller extensions and spinnaker poles but in 13 amazing colours (including black)! They are already in use on at least 30 different classes of dinghy, keelboat and catamaran that we are aware of! We also offer an increasing range of carefully designed accessories.
