GBSC Final

After racing on Saturday we will be organising a number of activities

To celebrate and promote the great diversity of the UK small boat sailing scene,  we will be streaming a Facebook Live session via the GBSC page and 'why my boat is best' pit lane contest ,  with each class given 20 seconds to promote what they love about their class.  The pit lane will be in front of the club house,  with classes clustered together,  details to follow.  This will then be followed by a public vote to determine the winner,  to be announced at the Sunday Prize Giving.

At 18:30 we have arranged a two course roast chicken supper (vegetarian option available) with the RSC caterers,  tickets should be booked in advance (@ £10)
After supper,  Series organisers Andy Rice and Simon Lovesey will facilitate  a round table discussion about 'The future of dinghy racing in the UK'.  If you have any topics you particularly want to discuss please let us know in advance.

About

The Great British Sailing Challenge is a series of handicap racing events that take place throughout the year, and it’s open to pretty much any sail-powered craft. The Challenge will involve events throughout the whole year, with the target of around 100 boats taking part in each event on larger waters, and running events close to capacity on smaller lakes and reservoirs. Competing sailors will earn ranking points from each event they compete in, with the top 100 sailors invited to a winner-takes-all-final in Autumn 2019 to award the best sailors of the year. The series is managed by SailRacer.
